Chapter 3: Recommended Changes to MVoIP

Programming

In order to have the most efficient data flow on an MVoIP connection (Normal or Remote –

Dynamic Mode), it is recommended that in the WAN IP Route Map screen, that host routes be

used wherever possible.

In the cases of a Normal MVoIP connection where the Ethernet IP address is known at both

locations, or a Remote – Dynamic Mode, where the host Ethernet IP address is known, network

routing should be replaced by host routing.

Using the MVoIP sample configuration in the Magnum Router Manager 2.0, here is a screen

shot of the original WAN IP Route Map screen:
